誰が歌っているかは知らなくても、きっと誰もが聞いたことがあるこの歌。
“Three Dog Night”というグループ名は、アボリジニ（オーストラリア先住民）が、寒さの厳しい夜に3匹の犬と寝るという風習が由来だそうです。
スリー・ドッグ・ナイトは元々、3人のボーカリストで結成されたグループで、デビューする際にバックバンドを集め、7人組になりました。カバー曲が中心でしたが、かつてのヒット曲よりも、当時まだ無名だったアーティストの曲を多くセレクトしているのも、このグループの特徴です。
