フェイセズへの加入前には“カクタス”というアメリカのバンドからも加入の誘いがあったようです。
ちなみにスモール・フェイセズからボーカルのスティーヴ・マリオットが脱退して、フェイセズに改名した訳ですが。
ロッド・スチュワートがソロ活動の方で成功したために、フェイセズが彼のバックバンド的な存在となってしまったので、
「スモール・フェイセズは好きだが、フェイセズはちょっと」という人も多いようです。
